| A horizontal cylindrical steel mould, coated with refractory material, is used to manufacture seamless centrifugated tubes. The molten steel and alloys, which have been previously melted in induction furnaces, are poured into the mould, which is spinning at high speed. due to the effect of the centrifugal force the molten metal is evenly spread along the full lenght of the internal wall of the mould, and reamins in this state until the steel or alloy solidifies, and becomes a compact tube, with a regular thckness and perfectly concentric. | |
